1674-2024: 350 YEARS OF SABATTI FAMILY'S GUNMAKING TRADITION
The history of Val Trompia and the populations who have lived there for millennia is literally forged in iron: many historical documents testify to the processing of metals and the production of weapons in Val Trompia since ancient times.
The Sabatti gunmaking tradition was born in this historical reality, with a large family active for 350 years in all the specializations connected to the manufacturing of firearms, since the origins of the first locksmiths, gunners and arquebusers active in the valley.
And it is exactly in 1674 that Lodovico Sabatti was born, the founder documented in the historical archives of Gardone Val Trompia of what would become one of the oldest families in the entire panorama of the global arms industry, still active today: Sabatti Spa.
Active in Gardone Val Trompia since the early 18th century, in addition to building excellent flintlock pistols, the "archibusaro" Lodovico Sabatti was also an appreciated "gunner": that is, a "barrel maker", an activity that modern company Sabatti carries on with experience using the best technologies available today.
