Sabatti S.p.A. awarded U.S. Patent for its carbon fiber monocoque rifle stock

Sabatti S.p.A., the historic Italian firearms manufacturer, is proud to announce it has been granted U.S. Patent 12.313.374 for its innovative carbon fiber monocoque rifle stock and its unique manufacturing method. This patented technology, first introduced on the acclaimed Sabatti Rover Carbon hunting rifle in 2023, represents a significant recognition to Sabatti commitment to innovation.

Conventional "carbon fiber” stocks typically consist of a hollow external shell that requires a separate internal structure, often made of polymeric resins, milled and fitted to house the rifle's mechanical components. This two-step process can introduce inconsistencies and potential weak points.

Sabatti's patented solution overcomes these limitations by creating a true “one-piece” gunstock. Using a proprietary vacuum-bag molding process, Sabatti forms a complete, continuous structure from carbon fibers in a polymer resin matrix. All the internal seats and supports for the action, barrel, and other components are molded directly into the stock as an integral part of the single piece.

The advantages of this groundbreaking method are numerous:

Superior Strength and Rigidity: With no joints, breaks, or secondary materials, the seamless structure eliminates weak points and ensures an optimal control over firing vibrations.

Perfected Bedding: The rifle's mechanical components are housed in direct contact with the precisely molded stock, eliminating the need for filler materials and ensuring a perfect fit.

Unmatched Consistency: The process minimizes manual assembly operations, resulting in a higher manufacturing standard that guarantees consistent performance from one rifle to the next.

Extreme Lightweight: This structural efficiency allows for an incredibly low overall weight, as seen in the Sabatti Rover Carbon rifle, which weighs just 2.5 kg (5.5 lbs).

"We are incredibly proud that our hard work has been recognized with a U.S. patent," said Emanuele Sabatti, CEO of Sabatti S.p.A. "This isn't just another carbon fiber stock; it is a complete rethinking of how a modern rifle should be built. Our monocoque technology creates a stronger, lighter, and more consistent platform, delivering tangible benefits in accuracy and handling for the hunter. This patent is an important validation of genuine 'Made in Sabatti' innovation."

The technology protected by U.S. Patent 12.313.374 confirms Sabatti position in the global firearms industry, blending centuries of Italian gunmaking tradition with cutting-edge engineering.
